SA inks Objective software deal Print E-mail

ASX-listed Objective Corporation has sealed further work with the South Australian Government, announcing a deal with with the state's Health Department.

Under the terms of the contract – which is an extension of its Shared Services deal with the South Australian government – Objective will deliver an enterprise-wide electronic document and records management solution (EDRMS).

The companyh says the document management system would underpin SA Health's key business processes and to improve efficiencies. It also aims to assist with legislative compliance issues.

“Objective’s technology infrastructure is a great fit for the Health Portfolio’s environment, as it can be accessed easily by a small number of users stationed at a larger number of physical locations,” said SA Health Finance and Administration executive director John O'Connor.
Objective Corporation has been selected ... after a rigorous evaluation process,” he said.
“It was determined that Objective’s electronic content management solution offered the greatest capacity to meet the SA Health’s current and future needs for records and document management,” Mr O'Connor said.
Once the initial phase of implementing the new records management system is complete, SA Health will work closely with Objective Corporation to bring best practice information management to the department.
SA Health needed to replace an existing records system being used to manage all hardcopy records. With a variety of local systems and  25 active databases – all with different setups – accessing data on a regular basis was both time-intensive and costly, SA Health said in a statement.
The Objective system would provide a “single source of the truth” and serve as a single repository for all documents and records – streamlining operational efficiencies and lowering operating costs.
